Comprehensive Gastric Surgery

Bariatric surgery for weight loss and obesity treatment.

Obesity is a major problem that, if left untreated, can lead to a number of serious complications. These include Type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, high cholesterol, fatty liver disease, sleep apnea, osteoarthritis, and certain types of cancer.

Weight-loss surgery (bariatric surgery) can significantly reduce the risk of developing these conditions.

It is a globally recognized and accepted method, with the number of procedures performed annually increasing in many countries to over 250,000 cases.

Why Rattinan Clinic?

At Rattinan Clinic, we offer a wide range of weight-loss procedures, from advanced laparoscopic surgeries to non-surgical options.

Our surgical procedures include Gastric Sleeve, Gastric Bypass (Roux-en-Y), and Sleeve Plus (Mini Gastric Bypass). For those who prefer a non-surgical approach, we also offer OverStitch (Endoscopic Sleeve Gastroplasty) and the Gastric Balloon.

All of our procedures are suitable for those who want to lose weight safely, and our team of expert doctors will provide care throughout the entire process.

For individuals with a BMI over 35 or with co-existing conditions like diabetes or high cholesterol, Gastric Sleeve or Bypass surgery is an effective option. These procedures work by limiting food intake and reducing nutrient absorption, which can lead to a weight loss of 35–50% of total body weight. This is ideal for those seeking significant and long-lasting results.

For those with morbid obesity, the Sleeve Plus procedure is recommended. It offers the most substantial weight loss and is highly effective at managing chronic diseases.

If you’re not ready for surgery, we also offer non-surgical alternatives.

These include OverStitch, an endoscopic procedure that uses a scope to reduce your stomach size by sewing it from the inside without any incisions, and the Gastric Balloon, which is a saline-filled balloon placed in your stomach to help you feel full sooner.

These options are suitable for individuals with a BMI between 27 and 35 who want a safe and gradual approach to weight loss. On average, patients can expect to lose 12–25% of their total body weight.

In terms of recovery, Sleeve and Bypass surgeries require a hospital stay of approximately 5 days, and you can typically return to work within 1–3 weeks.

In contrast, non-surgical procedures like OverStitch and the Gastric Balloon are much quicker. The procedure itself only takes 20 minutes to 1.5 hours, and you can often return home or to work within 1–2 days.

However, all procedures require strict dietary control during the first 4 weeks.

All of our procedures are safe and are overseen by a team of doctors and nutritionists, with close follow-up for 1–2 years.

Our package prices start from 4,961.01 USD  for the Gastric Balloon up to 17,056.11 USD for Bypass surgery. We also offer special promotions and flexible payment plans to help you begin your journey with confidence.

sleeve-pjb-2

This is a new surgical technique that has gained popularity internationally over the last 10 years. It is a laparoscopic procedure that combines elements of both Gastric Sleeve and Bypass surgery.

The technique involves creating a smaller stomach pouch, leaving only 15-20% of its original size, and rerouting the small intestine to reduce the absorption of food. This procedure also leads to significant hormonal changes. It reduces the appetite-stimulating hormone Ghrelin, causing you to eat less, and increases hormones that make you feel full more quickly.

Gastric-Bypass.jpg

This is a standard gastric surgery method that provides the most significant weight loss and results. The procedure is more complex than the Sleeve method, although it also involves laparoscopically removing 75–80% of the stomach.

The additional complexity comes from rerouting a portion of the small intestine and connecting it to the new, smaller stomach pouch. Due to its advanced nature, this procedure must be performed by a highly experienced specialist; otherwise, there could be serious health risks.

Gastric-Sleeve.jpg

One of the standard gastric bypass surgeries, endorsed by numerous medical institutions worldwide, this laparoscopic surgery reduces a portion of the stomach to the size of a banana.

Advantages include a reduction in hunger-regulating hormones, which are more effective than gastric balloons and gastric bands. The body naturally adjusts to eating patterns, allowing for less food intake without forcing the body. However, there are some disadvantages, such as not being suitable for those with acid reflux and not suitable for those who have previously had gastric bands.

Endoscopic-Sleeve-Gastroplasty-Overstitch.jpg

This is a new medical weight loss technique! Using an endoscope through the mouth, the stomach is sutured to be smaller without cutting, leaving no abdominal wounds. Recovery is quick, pain is minimal, and weight loss is greater than with a balloon insertion.

Gastric-Balloon.jpg

Although the balloon insertion into the stomach is not a direct surgery, it is still included in this category. However, the balloon is only in place for 12 months before it must be removed. Therefore, it is suitable for people who are not very heavy. After the balloon is removed, weight is usually regained.

Triple Lock at Ruttinan Clinic

The Triple Lock technique uses a very strong, wire-like dissolvable suture to create a more secure seam. It involves rolling the edges of the incision inward before stitching them together, then repeating the process to create a reinforced fold. A bio-adhesive glue is also applied to the seam, adding a final layer of strength and helping the wound to heal.

The special features of the Triple Lock technique are:
